Before he died we took him to the ocean. He found enough energy to walk to the water where he stayed for almost an hour. I rolled up my pants and went out there with him.

We knew he was dying but he looked so peaceful and calm lying there. It was truly his favorite place to be, and we are glad that we took him there one last time. There was nobody around, the sun was setting and the night was absolutely beautiful.

He was at peace, I know it. I think that is where he died. In spirit, anyway.
