What can we say about a shepard/hound mix and blessed
creature of God who found us at the North Shore Animal
League on Long Island, NY fifteen years ago with his
sweet, longing eyes?
Ceasear was two when we got him and loved older
children and a big back yard. He got both but he gave
us so much more.
He endeared himself to all of us, becoming a close
companion of my husband, Fred. Playful, mischievous
and utterly devoted, he loved to "guard" the outdoors
and chase squirrels ("quirrlies") and birds to
exhaustion. "Cee-Zee Boy" would have been 17 on
October 7th, the day we found him. He always had a
tail wag greeting and rose to his feet when any of us
walked through the door. He struggled in his last year
but managed just the same to let us know he
Ceasar is missed and thought of all the time. He went
to the Other Side on September 13th, 2004. We have his
ashes on our living room fireplace mantle and a Memory
Book we created of him and many fond, loving memories
that will carry us through the years. We do believe
there is a "section" in Heaven for all furry beloveds
and I await the day...
