My dogs name is Cassidy

Cassidy- great friend, great companion

I dont really know when or where he was born, all I know is that I was looking for a short haired, masculine looking dog when a co-worker told me about one for adoption at the hospital where he took his pets. I asked him if he was a Lab or was strong looking, but all he said is "just go look at him".

He was the ugliest dog I had ever seen and to be honest I was little dissapointed. I had been told that since he had been returned a couple of times he had one last chance before he was put to sleep. I just couldn't deny him the opportunity to live , so I made what I thought was a big mistake. At the time I did not know that Cassidy would be the best pet I had ever had.

He was in my life for 9 years and just passed away in a freak accident over the weekend. I didn't even have a chance to say goodbye since I was out of town.

Cassidy, I will always remember you! And even though it may seem unreasonable, I am a better man because of your existence in my life. I want to thank you for your unconditional love, for all those times when your smile would light up my heart. You were a very smart dog, so I know you were aware of how much I loved you.

Goodbye my friend. A part of me has died with you.
