Joey

Our sweet Joey came to us from a litter of Chihuahuas. He was the only one that was multicolored and it seemed no one wanted him. When I picked up this tiny pup he just looked at me and kissed my face. I knew then he was coming home with us.

Joey loved to sleep on our laps or across our chest. His favorite body to cuddle on was my big tough guy of a husband. It was sight to see!

He loved to cuddle to our oldest dog Chance and he always deferred to her. She was his surrogate mother and their relationship was typical of any family. They always protected each other from possible harm. Joey would follow Chance around and be happy just being in her shadow.

Joey loved human food like most dogs but he always tried to steal coffee from my Dunkin Donuts cup. His little head would get stuck in the styrofoam cup, he really liked French Vanilla flavor.

He was always a chubby Chihuahua but we started to notice his weight loss. He was not his usual happy self.

He had Cancer and he was only 4 years old.

He gave us unconditional love, lots of kisses, laughs and pure adoration. He was a dog who was loved dearly and deeply by our family.

We love you Joey and as I told you when you passed on in our arms, you were the best dog any family could ask for. You did a wonderful job bringing us joy and love. Go to sleep now and rest knowing you are loved by all of us: Mommy, Dad, Danielle, Alex, John, Kim and Chance.

You will always be our little man
