Starla was a wonderful best friend. She could always lift our spirits. She and my husband had a special bond. No one could "melt" him like she could. Our male dog, Eddie, loved her so. He showed her respect. She was beautiful and smart. The last years of her life were filled with health problems. In the end, she was so scared when she had to go to the vets. It was so hard to watch when I knew she didn't understand why we were doing these things to her. Starla went blind and her blood sugar was very difficult to control. She was very thin and weak. The confusion and bumping into walls was unbearable to watch. She was a shadow of her former self. Putting her to sleep was the most difficult decision of our lives, and the most difficult thing to watch. We had a beautiful picnic that day. I will always treasure the memories I have of her.

Starla, we miss you very much. It's not the same without you. I think of you constantly. I hope you know how priceless you are. I'm so sorry for all that you went through. We love you girl baby. Be good.

Love Always and Forever,
Patti, Corey and Eddie
