Agatha W. Christie
Agatha W. Christie ( the W stands for Whodunit ) has been dead for almost
four years. She was the star of my life for ten years--companion,
confidante, and source of solace.
She wasn't aware that she was really a Retriever dressed up like a Bull
Terrier. No one loved "BALL" more than she, nor did anyone know how to keep
the game going for as long. She even knew the spelling of the word !
I acted as the marriage broker for her when we were planning the wedding
with Spuds MacKenzie. Upon calling the head of advertising for Anheuser
Busch, and proposing the marriage, (since she had the identical marking that
he had) there was a pause; and then another person came on the phone. It
seems that such a union was impossible, and I believe that we were the first
outsiders to learn that "Spuds" was female !
"Aggie" is still sorely missed even though I now have a replacement. Old
loves are not forgotten.
I will look for her star, I know it will reflect her brightness.
