Bridgette
After 4 long years of waiting, I finally got an English Bulldog. I named
her "Bridgette" the first time I saw her. When I finally took her home,
I put her in an excercise pen until I could unload her new things, and
her dog food. About 10 minutes later I went outside to bring her into
her new home, she was not in the pen.
I panicked and ran to out pool,
the solar cover had been moved. I could see her at the bottom. I dived
in and pulled her onto the deck and began clearing her throat. I did
mouth to nose on her for over 1/2 hour, and finally called my best
friend Julie who came over to be with me.
I held my Bridgette in my arms
until we had to bury her. She was a beautiful baby, so full of love and
life. I still blame myself for this every day, and don't talk about it
much.
But she knows I love her, and miss her everyday.
We all love you Bridgie,
Jeff, Carla and Kirsten
