Bugsy Mallone

After being with us for almost 15 years, Bugsy Mallone left us for his place in Heaven (I Pray). He was Diana's and My first child and we are missing very much. Right now my heart is breaking as I think of the joy he brought into my life. He was my buddy, my unconditional friend, always glad to see me even on his last day.

He has been sick for about 2 weeks now. The doctor said we could give him medicine to start his Kidneys and Liver again, but that would only last a couple of weeks. The doctor said he was in little pain today but it would get very bad in the next week or so.

I question whether I did the right thing putting him to sleep today. He was happy and glad to see me when I got home. We sat on the bed for an hour or so together and he even ate some chicken for me. On the ride to the Vet's office he sat on my lap watching out the window like so many times before. While we were waiting for the vet's office to clear and take him in, he gave me kiss. I hope and pray I did the right thing for him, because it hurts so bad right now just not having him here.

He was very quiet and I held him tight when Jim gave him the shot. He did not flinch or cry, he just went to sleep. I'll take his ashes to Bradford on Thanksgiving and spread them around the apple tree in the back yard were he loved to lay. He'll be happy there.

I don't know if all animals and pets have Souls or not. In Bugsy's case I know he did, and I ask that each of you say a little prayer for my Baby Boy.
