Samuel H. Dogit
Samuel H. Dogit died on Friday the 12th of November 1999. He was very
dearly loved by all whose life that he touched. He came to my
Granparents following the storm of 87' and stayed with them ever since.
He was a beautiful and lively dog who took us on many beautiful walks
through the Kent countryside. He helped me and Bumper to discover Nou
bridge. I will always remember him for chasing through the farms, the
way he had a funny little jig in his walk, we called it the hop skip and
the jump, how he used to go bounding through the corn fields and bark at
anything. How he used to come and wake me up in the morning by climbling
onto my bed and cutting off my circulation. I also remember bathing him
in the summer and how he would jump out and get water over all of us
when he was drying off and how he would use the grass as a towel.
But
best of all I thank him for the joy and happiness which he was able to
bring into my grandparents life, even if he did smell after wading
through the streams.
He spent many hours entertaining all generations
within the family and will be greatly missed by all those whose lives
were lucky enough to be blessed with his presence.
