Scrapper

"Thy memory lasts both here and there
And thou shalt last as long as we.
But after that, thou dost not care
In us was all the world to thee."
--Author Unknown

In loving memory of our sweet Jack Russell Terrier who shared our lives for 11 short years.

Scrapper, your toys are retired now. You knew them each by name.... your soccer ball, kong, loopie and sock, football, newspaper and especially Baby. What I wouldn't give to trip over them scattered all over the floor if only one more time.

At the end, too weak to even lift your head, I will always remember in tender detail how your soft eyes followed Dr. Sadek's every move. A trick of fate against the toughest little dog in the world.

At the last, I placed you in the hands of St. Francis, patron saint of animals. (Take care, little one, lest you wear the poor man out. ) One day we will meet at Rainbow Bridge.....I have your basket of toys. Until then, know well how much you were loved and how sorely your bright spirit is missed.

A Blessing

I focus my thoughts
On her spirit so bright,
With deep love and gratitude
For a dear friend in flight.

On wings of spirit,
May our sweet friend depart,
I love you and miss you
.....with all of my heart.
