Lucky


December 1982 to September 1999

Lucky was a mixed breed, beagle/retriever cross, who was dumped at our house 17 1/2 years ago. I found him one late January morning curled up next to the pony in front of the barn. He was such a timid little pup. Brought him in the house and my husband said he was lucky to be found at our house. So, Lucky got his name.

He was a yellow and white puppy who grew into a 70 pound lab type. He gave us 17 1/2 years of love and devotion. He protected his home from buglars, slept faithfully at our bedroom door all those years, always a good house dog. He is loved and missed by his people, his cats, and Keno his Belgian Sheepdog friend.

From now on I will look at the sky and think of him.
