Sebastian

He came to live with us in November of 1997 from a family in New Jersey. They said they could no longer care for him because of his epilepsy. We corresponded with them on the Internet for a couple of months and agreed to have him come live with us. So, they drove him to us. At the time, my husbands father was dying of cancer and it was a difficult time, but we knew this little Boston Terrier was in need of someone to love him...so we took him in.

It wasn't as though we didn't have our hands full already. We have two other Boston's, a Pug, a Cat and a Bird. Oh well, there's always room for one more, right?

When he arrived at our door, it was love at first sight...for us and him. He came running in, grabbed a nylabone and instantly made friends with all the girls, never to look back at the people as they walked out the door.

Despite his epilepsy, cataracts and arthritis, he was one happy little dog. Sebastians health began to deteriorate this summer though. He began to run in circles, run into everything with such force that he would knock himself down. This got worse everyday. He finally decided he didn't want to eat or go outside to the bathroom so, we had to make the hardest decision of all.

Sebastian went on to the Rainbow Bridge on July 1, 1999. His age was unknown to us, but we and the vet speculate he was about 12. He has a beautiful memorial garden and headstone in our backyard.

We will always love you boy and we will always miss you. If only we could have spent more than a year and a half together.....oh what fun!

Love,
Mom, Dad, Mollie, Abby, Hannah, Sterling & Beavis
